when i grow old, i hope i'm like one of the old "people" i've met this weekend.
first of all, friday night at olive garden (minus the freudian slip hahaha), two (not one!) old couples went up to my mum, olyvia and me and told us that olyvia was such a "beautiful girl." it was not only a nice experience, but i really do have to agree. this girl's gonna get it in the future.. my parents had better watch out! ;]
when i grow old, i hope i will sit with my wife and friends and just coze up in a chair, drinking starbucks coffee (The stuff i'm drinking now?!) and read at barnes & noble. barnes & noble is one of the most comfortable places for me, i absolutely love studying and reading and relaxing there. it's a place where i feel that i can really just.. let things go, let things out, and read to my heart's content.
reina, ming and i sort of "met" an old guy today. he was sitting behind us in a chair, plopped down in his seat, reading a magazine (i know the backcover had something with like hydro..fuel.. going green.. yeah..) and well, we were just doing our little thing. i had a feeling he was listening on our conversations at times, and just being interested (or reminiscing -- or secretly laughing at how stupid we were?!) of what we were doing, studying, and talking about.
soon after .. two hours.. of working on that awful calculus test, reina went to buy a hot chai tea. and of course, offered us to try it. i grabbed two straws for ming and i to give it a sip and well, that's when things happened. ming and reina both said it was hot, but .. i took a sip way too quickly. as i immediately emitted squeals and jumps and laughed myself off of the situation, the old man behind us laughed as well.. just continuing to laugh as i made fun of myself -- "i didn't think it'd be that hot!" and well, it was nice.. just knowing that i made that man smile. maybe he'll tell his family/wife that story when he goes back.. i can see it now..
"i was at barnes and noble today and i saw these weird asian kids -- they were drinking tea, and one of them drank it too quickly and it was too hot and he burned his tongue! it was *southern accent* such a horndinger!"
laughs ensue.
smiles appear.
hey, it was a good time.
and well, when i age.. i hope something like this will happen. maybe your kids might cross my path.
