i'm hot.. you're cold.. you come around like you know..

so i haven't blogged in a while, and i guess my blog has been a bit lonely.
but hey, it's finally august and i've got 11 days until my junior year officially begins.
and i've got WAY too much stuff to do, and not enough time.

so you think you can dance ended yesterday, and it was pretty weird now that i won't plop down on my sofa every wednesday and thursday watching mark kanemura quirk up the stage, or katee shean dazzle me with her amazing leaps and turns. i really have gotten into dance more with this season, and especially since mark told me it's never too late. btw, he was freaking awesome last night.

so i guess this blog entry will just be a lot of raaaandom thoughts. i've been having REALLY vivid dreams lately. like, one was at a forensics tournament in texas where i did a really weird oratory on roses ("wherever the rose will grow" was the title, interesting) and i didn't memorize it and i just ended up bs-ing it in the room. it was really weird. and i don't know why, but that's what it's been happening for the past.. idk, 5 days?

oh, and i'd really like some comments on my entries. they feel lonely. entries have feelings too !

uh, i'm in love with the song "burning up" even the jonas brothers aren't that talented and nick jonas is straining his voice with his not-so-amazing falsetto. kay.

i got some of my books tuesday and "reunited" with the school of southside. really loved it, and i'm really ready to go back. :D

oh, and sunday i went to help out the freshmen. give em books, say hey to em, show them the lockers, etc. it was a really fun experience and i guess we'll see how these freshmen do in their new building known as SOUTHSIDE. i'm really excited for a number of things.. especially forensics, obviously, but this year i'm more hyped about academics more than anytime/anygrade in my life. so hopefully i'll be 100-ing everything, right angie?! :DDD

the junior class will be a bit shooken up this year. tricia's leaving, and we got 2 new guys in our junior class -- akshay and edmund. it's going to be interesting to see how everything goes with this. it seems like i lose people every year.. sophomore year danielle & grace moved, and now tricia's leaving.

i had a talk with reina on the phone yesterday about how we look back on things we wrote/said before and realized that "it wasn't us." it was quite an oratorical topic, but it's just something i've been battling with everyday. freshman year i thought i was pretty mature and i would make bright decisions. looking back sophomore year i thought some of those decisions were wrong. so i thought i was mature and really ready for sophomore year, and yet again, now i look back and think i did some crazy things.

but regret's how you learn and advance yourself in life, right? so this year, i feel more prepared than ever! i know now to always check that my mechanical pencil is ALWAYS in my pocket, i know now to always check that i leave with my lunchbox before i go out in the car and go "oops!", i know now not to stay up till 3am doing congress work while expecting to wake up at 7am finishing it so i could be at the tournament at 9. oh, i overslept and it's 9:40. AH!

i'm starting to work on my oratory and HI for the new season. i think this year i'm less concerned with points and stuff, and more concerned about.. my performance, and national recognition. forensics is something that's really important to me so i want to ya know, make my name something in the forensic world.

oh, and YIG. who can forget that? i haven't been to a conference since may, but i am well excited for september's conference at pawley's island. i am ready to start campaigning and hopefully win the race to become south carolina's governor. and represent us proud. :)

sooooooo yeah, this is just a bunch of my thoughts plastered onto the computer via typing with my keyboard. so i hope you enjoy.

Dude, Gary, I swear this comment was being written mentally in my head, even BEFORE your plea for "entry friends" :P

Waaait, what?! Joshua won?! I totally was betting on Courtney! [rofl.] Ah well, there's always next year...

Um, you do know that now you're practically obligated to do a "Wherever the Rose Will Grow" OO, right? Like, seriously.

Dang it, it was great meeting the freshies, eh? This year will be absolutely amazing, I can just tell right now!
