inspiration [musical, oratorical, life..ical?]

so saturday, i wanted to blog, but i guess i can do it now. for some strange reason, i just felt like.. singing. and playing piano a lot. that entire day, i procrastinated on my work but instead, i tried to find songs to sing and play on the piano, one of those being "no air." i started using my ear to find the melody, etc.. and then when i looked up the piano score for it, i was actually right. i felt really accomplished. :) (unfortunately, you have to buy the entire piano score so i only saw one page of it.)

uh, i think that's it for music.

moving on to oratorical inspiration! can't believe that's a word. haha. anyways, so i got my "comments" back from nikhil (if you don't know him, valedictorian of the '06 class and qualified to nationals like 3 times in extemp and oratory) about my oratory and he said that he can see why i made it to nats. YAY. unfortunately, he thinks the judges will be super-harsh on me (that i can see) because of my topic and such. so .. i think i will write a new one. i was thinking about one on teh fast-paced society we live in and using the story of "the turtle and the hare" as my vehicle type of thing. starting line, finishing line? learning to be more like turtles and take our time to think our way through things before rushing and assuming that we're ready? (i could also take a divert and talk about only thinking about ourselves or having too much pride). so yeah. whee forensics. nats is in 53 days, zomgosh.

school inspiration. err, so i am like.. going to try to get 100 in every class next year. i know, insanely impossible, but who knows? maybe i can do it. maybe i will surprise you all next year. MAYBE. hahaha. :D

yig inspiration. so today, kaushal told me that he was discussing political matters w/ tariq and neel mehta, and they both think and agree that i should run for governor. i think i am. i'm really excited (but nervous too because i don't want to lose) but i think it'll be a lot of fun. and i'd LOVE to be gov. hahaha. love to be gov. yeeeah.

life inspiration. after getting like.. 6 hrs. 45 min. of sleep, i felt really restored today. mrs. shoun was even like "CALM DOWN GARY" which is like extreme opposite of what she usually says (WAKE UP!!!) so.. i think it showed something. it's 12ish now which means i should head off to bed to keep my liver clean and stuff. woot.

btw, my mom still thinks i can't sing. she calls it tough love, but i guess that's okay because when i win american idol or something, i can rub it in her face.
