i know i haven't blogged in forever, and i know that when i look back on this when i'm a senior, a college student, a 30-year old adult, an old guy that hopefully will be able to access the internet (and assuming this will still be here), i will forget about my junior year.
this year has been filled with disappointments, failure, stress, and unneeded pressure. but i'm hoping something good comes out of it all.
anyways, districts [nfl quals] are this weekend and i am more nervous than anything. i've working my ass off all year and i would be truly disappointed if i do not get another opportunity to show what i've got in alabama this year. a lot of my friends have had their quals, and many GOOD orators have been dropped. now i just wonder.
i've learned that hard work really is essential to doing well. my piano scholarship yesterday did not go well but i KNOW that deep down in my heart, that if i had practiced those two weeks where i refused to touch the piano -- i would NOT have had the stupid memory slips that i did. the memory slips on the parts that i ALWAYS had correctly.. now how did that happen?
so i'm going to work work work this entire week. i'm sick right now which sucks, but at the same time, it means i can't "get sick" this week ;] so why not stay up? i've also learned that all-nighters stink. you can't think without sleep; you really can't. *looks at chemistry test*
i have so much work tomorrow. and i really just want to run away and go to sleep.
but i know that it won't gain me anything.
so .. the finish line is close. let's just have the strength to cross it.
[p.s. everyone, start blogging again! there shouldn't be an economic recession of blogging.. but i guess we're all just a little mentally pressed this year.]
"pressed for time."
that phrase has never meant so much to me.
