a rainy day in taiwan
hey guys, it's gary. haven't updated in a while but i promise i'll give a vegas update later this week. just had to get some taiwan stuff updated i guess. :]
so yesterday i went to my grandma's house on my dad's side in taipei. it was pretty.. empty, i guess, because only she lives there and she's like.. 87. it was nice seeing her, and i hope it won't be one of the last times.
we also visited my uncle and aunt (i call him 3rd uncle b/c my dad has 5 brothers, and this uncle was the 3rd boy born -- my dad the last.) my aunt asked me what i wanted to be when i grow up and i was like idk and my dad jokingly was like "wang lee hom, of course!" laughs emit from the relatives. my aunt says that the best way to get discovered is to go to ximending square.. and it's the truth. that area is basically the teenager hangout place of taiwan. of TAIWAN. yep, the entire country -- it's essentially just like our downtown. except it's HUGE. there are like over 100 stores and small markets in it and it's just street market. it's very cool.
anyways, so we go off to ximending square but unfortunately it starts raining. and not just raining, it's POURING. it's like gigantic globs of this liquid from the sky just angrily making its way upon the pavement. it was huge. that being said, ximending square's usual live environment sorta vanished. btw, there were so many taiwanese teenagers there (and not all taiwanese imo are that pretty. heh.) and taiwnaese teen couples are very.awkwardlooking. hm, maybe cause i'm used to seeing white people =P BUT ITS OKAY.
also, i was like.. one of the taller people there. it was interesting. =] walk with confidence, boi.
anyways, so i got 3 pairs of jeans that are KILLER. they are really really awesome looking and are definitely unique. they rawk.
after that, we went to get a suit. it was a hot one too. :] YAY. oh, and only $30. yeppp. it was 90% sale off, but it's good quality actually, from germany, nice material, mmm good deals. <3
OH, and i got some asian clotehs for the international festival this year. YAY FOR ME. the seller lady was very.. into making a deal. she even proposed for me to meet her daughter so we could get married b/c i was so handsome. "schuai ge!" hahaha :]
my mom was a bit mad because i spent like.. $200 today. BUT THATS OKAYYYYY lalalala.
hmm, but yeah. taiwan's been okay. today i played a lot of DS "the world ends with you" (BESTGAMEEVER) and "zoo keeper" (hehe cute puzzle game). been bored and i decided im gonna start watching naruto.. all 139051209385013295 episodes of it and then some.
oh and my hair effing rawkz. like it's ferserious the best haircut EVER. i can just wake up and it sitll looks cool. it's great stuffff. here's a pic if u havent seen on facebook.
dyed hair = the best <3
soooo yeah. that's gfan on the taiwan flip side.
whee.
