the typical cross-country conversation; most of you have just been proven WRONG.
typical situation 1:
me: "i gotta go to cross-country, see you guys later!"
everyone: "WOAH! you do cross-country?!"
in their minds: this kid's too scrawny, he would've live in it.
me: "yep. haha, you guys are always so shocked."
--
typical situation 2:
me: "i've got too many activities, haha, and cross-country's wearing me out!"
everyone: "cross-country? o.O"
in their minds: wtf. this kid's on crack.
me: "mhm, see you guys later!"
--
probably one of my favorites:
me: "yeah, so i've gotta run some cause i got cross-country"
somebody: "you're running? cross-country?"
mr. wong: "that's awesome!"
me: =D
--
hypothesis: if you put your mind to something, then you will be able to try, and most likely succeed.
evidence: today i ran a 3.1 mile race. and i wasn't last.
in fact i wasn't even second to last.
or third to last.
don't know where i actually placed, but it was fun.
i felt exhilirated.
and accomplished.
and it really topped off a not-so-great day.
"you run -- WHAT?"
"yep. and i'm doing pretty well, if i do say so myself. ;)"
